I had to take a taxi further than I could go on the buses with Scoot this afternoon.
Let me tell you ; it was a scarey ride for three miles!
I was sitting in the back seat, but watching closely all that was happening,
especially the car in front of us who kept braking , like they did'nt know where they wanted to go.
Well. My taxi driver was first talking on his personal cel phone, three times while driving, and I was on pins and needles all the way! I even said prayers.
Then he was texting twice, with one hand and driving with the other hand.
No, I will not report this, but when I have to take a taxi again, I will ask for a driver who does not talk on his cel phone or text while driving!

report him! we do NOT need such crazy people on our roads.... and especially not transporting people. As a taxi driver he gets paid for DRIVING, not for using his cell!!
It's bad enough when people drive and talk on cell phones, but texting? Believe it or not, I learned that a bus driver in our city was caught texting while driving. Her last words would have been, "Oh, Oh!"

Yes, PSTA actually fires them if they are reported.
I think the first time they only get pay deducted and a warning and days off.
But then if they get caught again, their butts are fired.
The same goes for their eating food while driving.
Yes, and they now have cameras watching them. Before this, the cameras were only pointed at the people on the bus. The new live cameras can now see and isten to the drivers and record all their activity.

Chimp ~ Yes but that is only after there has been an accident,
such as the one involving my arm ,
when you and I were on the bus.
They looked at the tapes then, but only randomly review tapes when they have time or feel like it.
