I was very fortunate, with all the wars, I never lost any close family. My Mother lost an uncle in WWII, my cousin lost her husband during Vietnam. My Father, his Brother, several male cousins were all in during WWII. Abe enlisted right at the end of the Korean war, then my brother went during Vietnam, our Granddaughter was over in Iraq for six months, not long after the war started. In fact the convoy that was captured that had some women in the group, was ahead of them. Granddaughter's group got stuck in the sand, and her group was waiting for help, so when this convoy came along, they asked if anyone wanted to go along with them, they all decided to wait and I am so thankful. She came back in one piece, but her mind is still messed up some. And no wonder, some of the stories she told her parents. She's a beautiful young woman, but she's been getting tattoos, and piercings, which I'm not sure why. You can see her on the side bar of my blog. Thanks for your visit. And yes a big THANK YOU to all Veterans. Hope your treatment from the other day is working.
Hi Patty ~ I also have many family members who are currently serving our country, and some who have served and their sign up time is done and passed away vets too.
Sorry about your grand daughter, my son came back from Iraq totally messed up. Mentally and physically. He is doing better now, re-married.
Thanks, my injection works well, but makes me sick-er,lol. Then it does it's thing and wears off by the time I'm to get the next one, each week.
I'm just glad it helps curb the dangerous inflammation that creeps into my lungs and heart plus all my joints. But yes, it works!
Besides Veterans Day, I heard lots of people got married because of 11-11-11 yesterday. I had three different wedding parties staying at my hotel last night. Happy Veterans Day!!!
